HERD X Lobster Shack - Three night take over, 3rd-5th July

A three-night ticketed supper club bringing together East Lothian's land and sea. HERD, at Balgone Estate, teams up with The Lobster Shack, North Berwick's legendary seafood kitchen. Our beef, their lobster, cooked over coals.

The menu is simple and generous: half a native lobster cooked over coals with garlic and parsley butter, Aberdeen Angus skirt with its own resting juices, crisp Marfona potatoes and a Castelfranco salad with tarragon and parmesan, and a burnt Basque cheesecake with summer berries to finish.

If you love oysters, add a plate of three to start, dressed with jeow som, a bright Lao-style dipping sauce of lime, chilli and tamarind. If you want to trade the skirt for something more special, we'll be cutting dry-aged rump, sirloin and fillet from our own cattle pick your upgrade at checkout.

After our hugely successful event at Murrayfield during the Six Nations for the England and France games, we’re excited to announce our next adventure—a little closer to home!
We’re thrilled to welcome Harry, a classically trained chef, winning a Michelin star and a Michelin bib gourmand at Timberyard and Skua respectively. Get ready to indulge in the finest lobsters in the world, freshly caught by our local fishermen and landed at NB Harbour, exclusively for our special guests.
For over 13 years, we’ve been serving up amazing food, but this event marks a first: combining the freshest lobsters with the finest beef from Balgone to create a classic Surf and Turf. Plus, we’ll be featuring delicious organic potatoes from Angus Elder at Chapel Hill Farm.
