A three-night ticketed supper club bringing together East Lothian's land and sea. HERD, at Balgone Estate, teams up with The Lobster Shack, North Berwick's legendary seafood kitchen. Our beef, their lobster, cooked over coals.
The menu is simple and generous: half a native lobster cooked over coals with garlic and parsley butter, Aberdeen Angus skirt with its own resting juices, crisp Marfona potatoes and a Castelfranco salad with tarragon and parmesan, and a burnt Basque cheesecake with summer berries to finish.
If you love oysters, add a plate of three to start, dressed with jeow som, a bright Lao-style dipping sauce of lime, chilli and tamarind. If you want to trade the skirt for something more special, we'll be cutting dry-aged rump, sirloin and fillet from our own cattle pick your upgrade at checkout.
