What’s included
Your ticket covers entry for everyone in the car, the pumpkin patch, the Haunted Trail, parking and toilets, including an accessible toilet. Pumpkins, food and drink are paid for on the day.
We plant our pumpkins in May. This year an unsettled few days just after planting meant some of the crop failed, so we have bought in pumpkins from other UK farms to make up the shortfall. Next year the aim is to grow every pumpkin on the estate again.
Good to know
How much are the pumpkins? Priced by weight and paid for at the Patch Checkout. Wheelbarrows are provided.
Can I bring my dog? Dogs are welcome on a lead, but not in the pumpkin patch. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout.
Is it accessible? The car park, food village, Patch Checkout and level parts of the patch are accessible, with parking nearest the entrance kept for visitors with access needs. Adult and child beach wheelchairs can be booked free of charge in two-hour slots. The Haunted Trail has slopes and uneven ground.
What should we wear? Wellies or boots and warm, waterproof layers. It is a working farm in October, so expect mud.
Where is it? Balgone Estate, just outside North Berwick in East Lothian, about 35 minutes' drive from Edinburgh. Follow the event signs on arrival.
